Anyway looking forward to seeing St Pauls again tomorrow, see whether we have improved.. a few injuries out at the Units but to everyone's credit we are still holding together very well. The depth has been really tested and responded well so far.

Not the result you guys were looking for Cossi. Some work to do there!

Definitely not the result I wanted to see. Take nothing away from St Pauls though, they are an extremely good outfit and basically dominated the game from the first bounce with 6 goals to 1 in the first making it difficult for the Units to get back in the game, they are top and undefeated for a reason.

As already mentioned on here it is testing times down at the Units at the moment but the group are remaining very positive and hopefully see a few of the senior players return over the next month to build towards locking in a finals appearance, something I know a few of the old folk will be really happy to see.

Yep. Apparently king hit directly in front of the camera filming the game likely to have the operation tonight. 2 plates and screws likely to be inserted

Fair to say we haven’t heard the end of this one.

92 minute mark?

If that’s the incident that caused the damage then that bloke is in a fair bit of strife. Not good at all.

Highly unlikely... only today a man received a suspended sentence for something much worse resulting in a serious brain injury from an incident in Hindley Street.

On another note, totally out of character for Bennet. Hope Fenners heals quick. They’re both good blokes

It's crazy! I reckon the amateur league sat on their hands for too long before trying to stamp out thuggery in the the late 90's early 2000's BUT in the last 5-15 years i dont think the ADFL could do any more than they have. They have made their stance clear and have implemented many different strategies but week in week out there seems to be another act of 'violence'

What more can the ADFL do they haven't tried yet?

The only step i think that is left is incidents of cowardly punches just become life bans unconditionally no questions asked. 8-10 week suspension for an amateur footballer just doesnt seem to be a big enough deterrent.

Nevermind the fact that the injured players are only amateur footballers, most likely have to miss work, some would be casuals in their employment, etc etc etc.

I genuinely could deal with that. Yes it would be harsh and yes if its a first offence there is no chance for rehabilitation but tough luck. For incidents that are completely non football related and violent there should be no leniency whatsoever.

Pure Thuggery. Violence like that is not needed in the game. Would be happy with a life ban but chances are it will be in the 8-10 range.

We all go to work Monday.

It was hard to pick up initially as it wasn't in a scuffle and there was niggle between the two, but yeah, it doesn't look good for him.

Yeah, I thought the same, I've only played cricket against him and although he don't mind a bit of yap, he's a good bloke and I was very surprised that he'd had such a brain fart.
