Not when it’s more than an inch thick and has spices on it that I don’t want to burn.

Dad died on the 20th of June 2013.

I rate sitting on the couch with "True Blue" blaring on the TV as each year passes, watching the film clip with tears rolling down my face uncontrollably reminiscing my time with him and just imagining that he's there sitting with me singing along too.

That day, and his birthday on February 9 are my two hardest days on the calendar.

Thoughts are with ya mate. My old lady past 5 years ago and I experience similar when it's her Birthday - Get a few tears out the way early before a few beers and trying to remember the happy times.

I try to hold my shit together at work throughout the day as I get some messages from my siblings and kids, everyone at work knows the days so I get left alone for the day.

Went to the pub with $30 for a couple of beers and a bet, left there with $180 so the old man was looking after me, I won a tri using his 3 numbers, it paid way more than it should've but I'll take that.

A good friend has lost both her parents within 4 years, the second one passing recently, both of them fairly suddenly ( but not unexpected given they weren't in great health ), been hard to watch but I know she appreciates those of us standing by her.

Exactly, since dad passed away, I make sure I see my mum at least once a week, a big chunk of you goes when they aren't around anymore, I've really needed him at times over the years but I just soldier on and think what would he be telling me.
