If he's been backing Collingwood and himself with goals I'd say he's got that covered already.

All bets were unsuccessful apparently, I had a nice collect on him before top goal scorer a few weeks back.

Does anyone think its strange he was allowed to continue playing after self reporting in May?

Turns out that barrel he hit from 65m out earlier in the year was to get him his 3rd goal which was one of his legs in the multi

Part of the agreement is that the betting agencies hand over any info they have on AFL players placing bets on AFL games, probably better to work together than work apart on this one.

“Collingwood and the AFL have been locked in discussions over the penalty for young star Jaidyn Stephenson’s betting infringement, with the AFL suggesting a hefty penalty that would rule Stephenson out for most of the season.”

And voila, he is available for finals

Apparently the AFL wanted it to be longer, the suspension that is.

Why does it need to be negotiated?

AFL should just come down with the big hammer on stuff like this.

I have always thought Stephenson came across as pretty thick, this just enforces that view.

Collingwood seem to have more of these "issues" than most clubs, look at all the young players they have had with lengthy suspensions for drugs, betting, drinking wrong drinks, etc. over the last few years.

Sorry but I don't think Port or Crow supporters need to be throwing stones in these glasshouses.

Some bozo from the AFL had a press conference today and read out all the charges and penalties. There was also a media Q&A afterwards where there was more information.

Dobbed in by the mate seems the only way I can think of

Sounds like Jeremy Howe told him to fess up. Apparently after the Saints game he was sitting in the change rooms next to Howe and was checking his phone and lamented that one on his teammates had cost him a multi. Howe then told him that what he had done was wrong and that he had better speak to someone higher at the club.

After Collingwood beat St Kilda in Round 9, Jaidyn Stephenson reportedly made a throwaway comment in regards to another player losing him his multi.

As a result, Jeremy Howe instantly encouraged Stephenson to self-report the mistake to the club.

Any pre season camps this year? Bikies at training? Rumoured scuffles in grand finals? Standing weird during the anthem? The list goes on...
