Should be a pretty handy pick up for Portland or North Haven.

If Ryder is after an extra two seasons he has 10 minor rounds to show Port that he is worth it IMO, if we see the Paddy that we know then we play finals, just loafing around the ground isn't going to get the extension, and wont exactly attract a lot of interest either.
Perhaps he'll end up back at the Bombers, they took on Big Zac and Draper is injured and not up to it yet.

Zero chance of ending up back with us.
There are several players at the club that would have to retire before he was allowed back. The boos from our own crowd would be worse than Pendles copped on ANZAC Day [emoji23]
Ruck is definitely an issue, need Draper to come back from injury and push for selection ASAP

In his defence, Hinkley needs to also help him show his worth by more minutes in the ruck if that's the case.

Help him? Bullshit, he needs to demand being selected there by showing the form that makes the position his. Help him, please.

Has lost his main weapon which was the spring in his step due to chronic Achilles issues so not sure rucking is ideal

And he’s not a key forward either so he’s in trouble.

Hard to demand or show form if starved of opportunity though.

Good point raised on the radio, the two times Ryder has been out of form and unhappy is when he has been demoted from the First Ruck and forced to play forward. Feels he is a pure ruckman only

Ryder in full flight is a better option that Lycett but he can’t pick and choose when he plays well though.
Seems to have lost his leap which is his only real weapon.

Agreed, but we're losing and he's not playing well so you put him in there for longer?

Doesn't add up. If he plays for the Magpies this week he'll probably be behind Ladhams for the ruck spot there too.

I think Port have a week off this week. Play 29th next match. A real dilemma .

Something not right at Port, 10 worse players than 3 of those dropped last week who kicked a quarter of their goals.

Or maybe they're just taking it easy knowing Geelong's record after a bye?
