I'd be surprised if we get that close. Said today if we get within 10 goals it's not a bad result. Looking forward to a couple of stouts and catching up with a Bays bloke I used to work with. Might have to wear the thermal thongs.

Did Roy give him 2 game suspension at the tribunal?

OK I forgot about that. On the CD team page it just stated Out: Nick Gillard.

What is going on up there at Elizabeth. I still think of the Doggies that were unbeatable last decade. Such a large area to get juniors through. Not good to see for the SANFL .

It was a decade ago ! Glenelg being top is better for the SANFL than Central . Way more supporters to draw from. They will be packed in GF Day . Good to see.

Bays are a quality unit. No discernable weaknesses and they play a gamestyle that plays to their strengths. We had a go today, we're just a very ordinary outfit. Our skills are poor, our decision making is baffling at times. Burton is a goer and worth persisting with, I hope we give Falkenberg a decent run. Didn't do a lot today but took a nice grab, did some hard yakka at ground level. I said a few days back I'd be surprised if we get within 10 goals, that's where we're at as a club.

I trust that you managed to snaffle a stout or two before they ran dry. 8)

You're giving them too much credit. We would have to improve 50% to be just a very ordinary side. :(

Our recruiting zones were crap from 2010 to 2017, has been adjusted now, should see better local recruiting in the next few years. We have 5 or 6 players who any club would take, the rest are fringe league players at the moment. We need this squad to stick together for a few years BUT that doesn't happen anymore, there's no loyalty & too many sooks who have no intestinal fortitude these days.

A report done by the SANFL some years ago showed South Adelaide and Centrals had the least amount of Primary and High schools (and students) in their zones. From memory the numbers were over 50% less than the likes of Glenelg and Norwood. Maybe it's changed in the last few years.

South Adelaide again?
Apart from finally being granted their current base (by the state govt?). Unfortunately a little late to sell their identity to an area already enjoying a strong football culture with the local leagues at one end, and a glitzy national league represented by 2 South Australian sides at the other.
They'd have to be the unluckiest club in Australia. A quick read of their history shows almost incessant shuffling of their base from what used to be just south of North terrace to suburbs not even half the age of the actual club, not to mention dramatically undersized recruiting zones that left them throwing money as their only avenue to two flags in the '30s. It's a wonder they survived. Recently they always seem to bear the brunt of whatever new controversial draft is implemented by the AFL and then don't seem to receive much reimbursement for it.
Rant over.
P.S. not my club, I just hate seeing honest clubs/ people being screwed around.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

July looms as a massive month for Glenelg;
Eagles at Woodville
Norwood at home
Port at Alberton
Crows reserves at home
A solid block of matches against clubs all vying for a finals spot.
