Got ourselves back in it here but starc and cummins will be a handful on this track compared to our opening bowlers. One advantage we certainly have is power hitting at the end, unless maxwell gets going there aint much else other then carey every now and then.

I really think we need Stoinis to get injured, I don't care who replaces him even if it is M.Marsh. On current form he should be batting 9, he is that far out of his depth and out of form. Was 100% Stoinis fault today, just dumb, almost as though he was thinking if I get run out it saves being embarrassed more than he already was

Smith also has to bat 3, its a joke that a plodder like Khawaja bats in front of him, just ask yourself who is most likely to make a run a ball 100 in any conditions?

We still have plenty if we bowl full

Had England on their knees and didnt put the boot in, reckon we will end up about 60 short from where we should be.

England are used to batting on pitches like this, reckon they will knock these runs off in 45

is it my imagination or do we build a really good base on a regular basis only to fall in a hole in the last 10 overs?

It should be enough if our bowlers are good enough. The final total of 285 should put into perspective just how well the openers did to get well past 0/100 in decent time as well after being sent in with the ball moving like it did.

First real test for our bowlers tonight.

Well done Alex Carey. That's a competitive score. Obviously could have been more, but when England won the toss I would have taken 285 in a heart beat. Our bowlers need to bowl in the right areas and be backed up by good fielding.

Thoughts so far
Aussies
Great opening stand again
Finch 100 then out hurt
Uzi maxy ordinary shots
Stoinis turns blind smith looking at the fielder says no
Carey good at the end
285 very defendable
England
Bowled to short with the new balls
Can't believe stokes only bowled 6 overs
Fielding gave the Aussies an extra 15/20 runs

Game on !
