Rockliff not named in SANFL squad but as an emergency in AFL? Surely Port would want him to have a run in SANFL?

Magpies play in the afternoon, I'd imagine Rocky and one other, probably Lienert, will be held back as emergencies but yes, I agree, if he's ready to play then off to Prospect you go and keep someone else out for Saturday night.

I wouldn't, he's in our best 22 and I'd rather him play

Seems another strange decision on him if they don't play him at all on the weekend, if fit.

Mate, we took him to China knowing full well he wasn't playing, nothing is strange anymore.

We do, but when it comes to the centre square the likes of R.Gray, Boak, Wines and Houston are ahead of him, then I'd almost rather see SPP, Drew and Atley getting a game before him after those mentioned and that's without Ebert, Amon (who has done some centre square work) or S.Gray going in there for short spurts and the last 3 offer more flexibility than Rockliff.

Not the first time and right now if it's Houston or Rocky in that position I'm having Whitney.

So why do Port send Boak out to face the media when they have 2 Captains?
I know Wines was putrid tonight but surely he can man up and face the music

Yeah Butters just looks like a kid who needs a few weeks back in the SANFL

Kids were always gonna struggle in those conditions, easy to say with hindsight but with the weather forecast it was a strange decision not to play Rockliff a proven mudskipper

I reckon Mayes/Lienert would be a better option down back then Garner, Bonner can move up for Motlop, he's better closer to goal. Don't think we have a like for like for Butters in the SANFL, maybe Atley or SPP
