Round 16 - Last one out turn out the light round

Postby Rik E Boy » Tue Jul 02, 2019 9:45 pm

As has been reported, Bulldog fwd premo Caleb Daniel is out for two weeks while contested beast Paddy Cripps is set to miss one more. Poor bastard breaks himself carrying that rabble and he watches them win without him. Bit late for that fellas! Gawn and Dangerfield looked pretty sore last week and with the Demons gone and the Cats clear it wouldn't surprise to see these blokes get rested....not what you need when we are up to the last four weeks of the minor round and have used trades to 'fill' our squad.

Some blokes like Hore appear to have hit the wall and unfortunately for us Brayshaw owners his brief burst of form was just that. Meanwhile the rookies continue to disappoint as the great Purple hope of the backline Logue did not inspire and Bewley and Clarke didn't get near it. Add to that Baker faceplanted himself so another who could well miss.

On the bright side anyone who may have held on to Whitfield may be rewarded. Ditto Rockpig who simply has to get a gig after amassing an amazing 57 touches for the 'Magpies' in the SNAFFLE last week. The Hoff went well too but I'm not sure how SC relevant he is these days. Others will be hoping that Burgess gets a reprieve as playing Anuswerth on the field is not a recipe for success.

Much to ponder my fellow players, especially if you are fighting a relegation battle like Strut is in Divvy II.

If Danger and Gawn miss I'll be relying on rookies such as Larkey and Jarrod Cameron for cover, and I already have Clarke covering Cripps

Im hoping Gawn does miss, I still have ROB on my bench, would make it very tempting to cash in Maxy and upgrade a couple other positions.

Would be big headaches for most if it was announced he will miss 2 to 3

If he's OUT for multiple games then it's Gawn to Grundy for me

Starting to wonder how bad Cripps is as well.

Hoping Gawn is done for the season.. i still have a heap of trades to use so it helps me if others have to burn the trades!

I'm on the cusp of falling outside the top 8 now so need some luck to go my way

I've had Goldy all year over Gawn so I'm hoping for the same. Need something to get the season back on track.

Was ready to make another upgrade this week but Daniel has stuffed that up. Leaving my run a little late patching injuries.
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

Reckon im playing you this week. Start burning those trades mate. Biggest trouble with trading out Gawn is who do you go for?
Goldstein I imagine most people will opt for. The ones chasing points and are attracted to shiny things will go for Lycett.

Lycett it is! Strut is screwed. North will flog me this week.

Witts will be my target if i do trade out Gawn.. I have Zac Clarke on the bench as cover so might just cop a late out there and upgrade elsewhere.. I need Fyfe since he was the bloke who lost me the game last week!

Danger should play as long as media personalities don't call him out for putting mayo on his injuries

Hannas gone now this week apparently.

I'm a clown for bringing him in last week before he was on the bubble.

Yeah that's a strange move that one. There have been plenty of downgrade options in the mids. So I didn't see the value in Hanners with that severely hampered preparation. You should have your mids just about done by now.

I dont think its going to matter now that Max is out but you forgot to put the E on Logue and missed out on 50 there

My season is cooked. I have Gawn, Hore, McDonald, Boak and Cripps. I might get one more win and avoid relegation. A few weeks ago I was 6-1 and now I'm ******. Now I know how Norwood feel this season. The Cats have reverted to last year's shite so the unwatchable shite that football has become can GAGF. Pass the salt!

Bad luck REB, meanwhile I've had a cracker this week will possibly get to 2,500 if Neale (C), Coniglio and Williams keep going. 8)

Disaster round. Cripps, Daniel, Boak and Gawn all out with only coverage for one, now Josh Kelly gets injured. Blow the effin siren!
