Williamson is the key bat, no others have done any damage, get him cheaply and they are in all-sorts.

Anderson has been troubled with consistent injuries the past 2 years, had back surgery in 2017. Neesham and de Grandhomme have overtaken him now.

Amazingly NZ have made it without any big contributions apart from Williamson with 548 runs, Ross Taylor has made 335 runs, Neesham 213 and de Grandhomme 174. Guptill has clearly struggled- 547 runs in 2015 and now only scored 167.

Whoever wins tomorrow will definitely start warm favorites but not sure how you derive at calling a team that makes a WC Final bog average? :?
Very little depth with both bat and ball. Too reliant on 4 or 5 players.

I'm still not sure how they defended such a poor total. A couple of their passengers are sure to go for 8 or 9 an over on Sunday assuming conditions are better in London.

Just because they didn't hit 350 doesn't mean it was a poor total. Proved right in the end!

Anyway, I'd rather have games of cricket like this than replicate a long-er version of T20, where 350's would be the norm.
I agree with the last bit.

I just think NZ have gone backwards in 4 years. Their 6 or 7 worst players are at the level of our 2 or 3 worst IMO, hence my comment re depth.

To be fair to NZ i get that there batting hasn't been good but they have a terrific all around bowling outfit which has performed most of the world cup. Plus they are as always a good fielding side. You don't get to a WC final being average, sure they got a little lucky but they are a solid team that is led wonderfully well by Williamson.

Reckon Englands openers and Stokes are the big players here to knock over early

You know there openers are just going to basically throw wood at the ball, need to do what NZ did to the Indian top order last night and have t hem 3 or 4 for not much, if not and they bat first could be chasing anything

Early predictions are the ground will only be half full of spectators as thousands of Indian fans bought tickets for this final thinking they would be there.
