With regards to Carey I can see a bit of Hussey about with the upcoming ashes, ie in our best 3 bats but wont be in the test team until the series is over

Incorrect, Handscomb had been playing for Aus A with Wade. Didn't bat in the match against Gloucestershire on July 2nd but made 57 the match before on June 30th and played the two games before that on June 20th and 23rd making 64 and 28 not out.
