Woods, Hybrid and putter all going well, irons are shocking though, keep hitting the ground first, not sure what Im doing wrong, any suggestions? Tried moving the ball further forward int he stance but then started reaching for the ball and cut across the ball

They are in contention as a new club to join.
Been a while since I've been there, but its quite cheap.

Played down at Goolwa today

Beautiful afternoon, tad fresh when the sun hid behind the clouds.
The breeze was quite steady which made it interesting.
Course is in good nick.
Had a member in our group who played off 9 and a beautiful silky smooth swing ala Corona Man and that baby draw. Dont think he missed a fairway all day.....although the head of his 6i decides to follow the ball on a par 3 on the back 9, 15th i think

3 wood worked magnificently. Only had 1 real poor swing with it. But that was unusually my error and not the club!
Gave myself a few birdie chances.

Walked off with 36pts - 85 off the stick.
Felt good to actually feel like a golfer for something different.

Bundoora Park with a few cricket lads.

One word. Awful!

The only shots that didn’t hit trees were the putts!

Retired.

Aston Hills, the spiritual home of our very own Corona Man, who's legendary feats are still murmured to this day.

It was Par, 2nd round of President Trophy...apparently it got cancelled last month when the weather was atrocious. Ben in Pro Shop commented on how some of the members had a whinge about Par....but I dont mind it, Clubs dont play it enough for mine.

Started on the 10th so atleast got warmed up before having to "kick a goal" down the first.
Play was a tad scratchy. Scored worse than I played for a -4.
Sunk a monster Par putt on the 8th, highlight of the day!
Course had a bit of rain and water was flowing nicely in the hazards etc. Only a couple of areas had pooled up a tad with water but overall in good nick. Last 3 holes we had a bit of rain.

Bloody freezing at 7am......took a while to get going....well apart from a few nice drives and some handy putts it was a round stuck in 1st gear.

One of the lads in our group had all sorts of issues with the greens......balls were just rolling and rolling   to be fair he didnt hit them that bad....they just didnt stop

Havent played a comp round for 2-3 weeks but ive been in the range a bit and chipping a bit at home, i'm going in the Tuesday comp tomorrow and then this Saturday, i actually feel like i'm hitting the ball the best i ever have, i'm 1 real good round off being single figures [-o<

This was highlighted by winning our Waterloo Hotel v Mawson Lakes Hotel social club golf day yesterday at Penfield. Ambrose event, groups of 4 (we had a team of 3) we were off 9 (2 off 20 and i was off 11), finished with 70 off the bat for a nett 61, we won by 1 shot. course in pretty good nick.

Hard to know what i wouldve had off the stick being an ambrose event, but it felt like an awesome round, sunk more beers than putts tho which made for a huge afternoon/night in to the state of origin in to getting yelled at when i evetually got home, good times.

Forget all of the above!

C**t of a game, I f**king hate golf.

Out with 16 points, in with 12- 28 points

4 scrubs- out of bounds twice, the par 5 both times around, then in water on 15 and to top it off Had low 30 putts.

Disgraceful

I did birdie the ‘birdie hole’ I guess that probably makes the score worse, but gets me a beer.

Looking forward to my first round since October last year... playing in the guest day at TTG...

First time I've played there since 1993... I played all my junior golf there and finished up playing golf all together when I was 19...

I am actually really excited to play there...

Shotgun start at 12:00pm...

So.....

Started in the 15th down the hill over the lake in front of the green... could have been an easier start... solid drive, just carried the water, little chip and run solid 5 to start...

The 16th hole is out of action due to remodeling so the had the temporary 16th par 3 in play, this was the original 16th, but is the spare hole now... put it on the green with an 8, snaked in a 30 footer for birdie..

Then bogie, par to "finish" the back 9. Pared the 1st then went Double double double...

Wheels were off at that stage... but got it back together a bit on the rest of the front 9 but ended up with 14 pts...

Played the "last" 5 holes (10 to 14) really well and it ended up being 22 points on the back 9...

After that 30 footer couldn't buy a putt, but really enjoyed myself...

Oh and won an Oakley shirt in the comp...

Actually can't wait until the next time...

Last week at Stirling.
Played ok, just couldn't score. Few of the blind holes we played incorrectly where we layed up instead of having a crack. Thats just not knowing the course.
Course itself is in good condition.
