Think he's had more than his share of challenges (average list, stars at the end of their time, injuries/illness to their best players etc). That said, 6 years is a long time at the helm in modern footy so can't really argue you haven't had long enough.

Hope he remains involved in footy.

yep, well summarised. Wasn't dealt too many favourable hands but ultimately a change was needed.

Bulldogs supporter wasn't too happy this morning with Richo being moved on.
Bulldogs played North the week after Scott pulled the pin = Loss
Played Carlton the week after Bolton sent packing = Loss
Playing Saints this week .... surely not?

Incorrect, Carlton beat Dogs with Bolton still at the helm round 5

They lost with Teague as coach in round 13

AFL media - St Kilda must make finals or Richardson is out. Lethlean was sitting next to Richardson and it didn't look good. One more big loss and it's curtains. Who will coach St Kilda next year?

(Richardson steps aside)

AFL media - How graceful was Richardson? Nicest bloke you'll meet in football. Did really well with all the injuries they've got this year.

They're wankers, almost all of them.
PAFC. Forever.

LOOK OUT, WE'RE COMING!

Out of curiosity, and once again I haven't done any research. Who was the last coach to be sacked by a club to go on and win a premiership at another club?

I couldn't think of many off the top of my head but there could be a few.

Just thinking if St Kilda hire Scott.

Yeah, that's the one that sticks in my head, sacked around 95ish after winning the 1990 flag for the Maggies.

Won 3 at the Lions.

He had one a flag at Collingwood though yeah?

How far back for a ‘non proven’ non premiership coach

I find it odd sometimes there are coaches who have an average record to speak off but a club believes there going to become a master coach at there club for some reason.

Once again in reference to Scott at St Kilda
