Can't stand it being called The Ashes.

Strange format they have .... if you are going to have a "Test" match, surely it has to be 5 days.

Seems as if Wade will bat 5... reckon he is the player with most to gain with a big effort this week. Hazelwood is the one with most pressure to perform to retain his spot.

My line up for First Test PRIOR to this trial:
Harris
Warner
Uzzie
Smith
Head
Wade
Paine
Pattinson
Cummins
Starc
Lyon

Shane Warne has named his starting XI... and its the same as I listed above with Starc and Hazelwood fighting out the final spot.

Marnies effort last night might help his chances.

I'm not sure what that proves when you have a pitch that clearly favours the bowlers. Maybe we'll get a better idea from the second innings.

Except for Starc who was the only pacemen to not take a wicket and went at the highest economy as well.

Yeah I cant see us winning the Ashes.

Our bowling will hold strong but their batting is much better than us under those conditions. I like the 3-1, you can always count on whether assisting a draw at some stage.

You'd think there will be a lot of days lost for rain, the 3-0 or 3-1 look very tempting as un-Australian as it is, at the end of the day, we're just not that good.
