Our bowling will hold strong but their batting is much better than us under those conditions. I like the 3-1, you can always count on whether assisting a draw at some stage.

We don't have a Jimmy Anderson, who incidentally is paying $3 to be England's leading wicket taker, Starc is ours at the same price   .

Siddle is a shorter price than the GOAT.

Head is @ $21's for the Australian leading run scorer if you're after some value, Harris, Carey and Labia are all even much shorter.

Uzzie is @ $5.50 if you wish to make a donation to Sportsbet.

What's Cummins paying, I think he will be our leading wicket taker. His accuracy, line and length will perfect for English conditions especially if he can get a little bit of seam here and there.

I'd be in form with a Duke ball in those conditions against that batting line up.

Ruled out of the test match against Ireland, obviously to give him the best chance of being right for the first Ashes test. Sustained a slight tear in his right calf playing for Lancashire against Durham on July 2nd.

I don't understand why you have so much faith in England's batting. Joe Root is their only top class bat and their first 3 could read;
Rory Burns
Jason Roy
Joe Denly
I'd back our bowlers to make inroads into their batting quickly. A mate of mine is a Pom and he doesn't rate England's batting line up at all. Similar to how posters on here view Australia's batting line up.
Will be interesting to see what sort of pitches are served up.

I got some Marnus top Aus bat at 51 and 34 over the past couple days, would have moved in since, also on Carey and wade at 50s and Cummins top Aus bowler at 4. all thanks to the TAB. Warner and Smith simply too short in this market (Id take smith at 3.75 and Warner at 4s if a bookie offers that), Marnus knows how to make runs in england and should face alot of older ball overs def not a 40 to 1 shot which is what my average price is of him. One of wade or Carey plays imo so 50/1 on them is just too big to pass up. Head at 20s not a bad shout but he plays with a very angled bat for mine which will be exposed in moving conditions.

Anderson been out of the first test bar a miracle for weeks, rumor is he will be fighting father time to be back for the 2nd test. Broad is seriously overpriced top top bowl with england, dont mind Sam Curren as well if i can get a price about him. (Waiting for all the books to open up odds on these ones).

Also on England to beat aus in series very bigly since before the aussies got smoked by India last summer at $1.95, the $1.80 around the place now still big value.

All in all get behind the boys but its gonna be one tough ride, to even be a chance we need to do a smash and run job on the poms in the first test without Sir Jimmy. Both top orders look like they have a couple passengers and both middle orders far from excite, its who bowls best and you have to back in the poms in home conditions.

Would not be against/surprised to see the below lineup for first test, think whichever way you look at it Paine is playing as a secialist captain.
Warner
Harris/Usman
Marnus
Smith
Head
Wade/Carey
Paine
Cummins
Starc
Hazel
Lyon

This is incredibly correct. I'm fascinated to see how Roy goes though. Our saving grace is we have a strong middle to lower order from Root to number 9 if Woakes plays. I can see Stokes really having a good series, he lives for the big moments.

People get seduced by their form and performances in shorter format cricket.

I think it's more that they are more used of the English conditions, I'd be leaning to a 3-1 Aussie victory if it was over here.

Recent history suggest that we don't travel well.

Poms 4/42 against the Irish in the test match and look to have as much idea as our batsmen against the seaming ball
