Compare if you like. North have numerous rising star noms, recruits have fit in very well & are only improving, a coach that empathises with his players & has their respect - then there’s Adelaide...
Both clubs are headed in very different directions...

They went after Clarkson, Simpson & Longmire. They wouldn’t be doing their job if they didn’t.
From what I now know through people at the club, I’m more than comfortable with them giving Shaw the opportunity.

Totally disagree. North & Port have huge upside with their lists & the young ones the have coming through.
A little ironic labelling others precious with some of the posts in this thread.

Futile exercise in reality, wasn't it? None of them were ever going to come across.

The "industry" thinks Ratten, Voss, even Teague are next in line for a full time head coaching role, Shaw really is a novice in coaching terms and I'm a little surprised they have jumped at him so quickly, like I said, seems like a popular selection to keep players and fans happy. I guess we'll see how it pans out.

We've at least tried, on field anyway, to change things up. Rocky, Motlop and Watts in, Polec and Wingard out, (be those calls right or wrong) Rozee, Butters, Duursma, Drew, DBJ, Bonner, Houston all under 23 and getting games into them, we might be shit right now ( we are ) but we're changing the list to fix that. We've got some upside on show. Just need a coach to implement a plan that works.

Longmire was close. Shaw has been an assistant for quite some time. The fact that his current assistants who are much more senior, are endorsing him speaks volumes.
