North V Glenelg

Postby Brett » Mon Jul 29, 2019 6:30 pm

The rampaging Glenelg against North. This game is also part of the split round and will be held on Sunday August 4 . Please make sure you understand the difference in the day. These two teams have a bit of rivalry stemming back to mid 80’s when Glenelg doubled their premiership count against the Roosters.
Prospect Oval is known for its goal posts not lining up is located in Prospect would you believe ? Menzies crescent to be precise. Has a good atmosphere when the home team is winning with the Rooster chant. You can buy Pies , Pasties , grab a beer and they even have a BBQ .

They'll be right next year. Were always going to take time to adjust to the new gameplan of only having 18 on the field.

Glenelg team in.

League

F: Bailey, Pirate, Close

HF: Scharenberg, Dutchy, Partington

C: Virgin, Stampy, Bradley

HB: Joseph, AMBays, Motlop

B: Gould, Pseudo, Uebergang

R: White, FourthEstate, McCarthy

INT: Gregson, Le Cornu, Schott, Scott, Betterman

Glenelg Journeyman Spargo has been dropped from the league side after over celebrating some other football game on Friday night. Replacing him is Stampy a 3.8 metre fast moving pachyderm with a nose for goals.

Pirate keeps is spot after not being being sighted last week (according to footy chick and valleys07) and last weeks other newcomers AMBays, FourthEstate and Dutchy remain in the starting 18 despite their poor showing. Surprisingly Pseudo has been named again despite not turning up claiming that there was no legitimate game on.

I see Wubsy is on the wagon. What position does he play?

I've always thought of him as a defender.

I might as well not turn up again this week. Being full back, it's not like I'm going to be near the play...
