Finally, the umpires have worked out Broad cannot hit the stumps bowling round the wicket to left handers

Surely if they check the ball and it’s fine you can’t recheck it again for a certain period of time.

Lot of complaints (unfounded) about the ball again.

Time to use Kookaburra.

Generally speaking, if the ball is out of shape, why would the bowling team request the ball to be changed? Any advantage you can get without tampering with the ball is money for jam! Conversely, if the ball is soft, you'd be crazy NOT to request the ball to be inspected until the umpires succumb.

Aussies going well here, but still can't afford to lose a wicket. Won't be easy to get started on this wicket, so one wicket could easily be 2 or 3.

Over rates are a disgrace, as are the amount of people that come onto the ground after nearly every over. The self importance of a Test cricketer is beyond reasonable. The other day when Stokes was batting he changed shoes mid over, why the hell cant that wait until the drinks break, what could possibly be wrong with them to have to change mid over. it required him to take his pads off.
I like the 5 run penalty if the ball isn't out of shape and actually while we're on that, give them unlimited reviews but if they get it wrong its a 5 or 10 run penalty, maybe then we could have home umpires.
This is ridiculous trying to change the ball every over. Why cant each ******* umpire have the contraption to measure it, ridiculous they have to consult each other

If true and Archer next in line, coming off injury a limited prep, Poms might be in real trouble as this series goes on.

:(

It’s the only part of his game holding him back

You could see in the last few overs he was starting to cut things closer to him

If Wade survives the next 24 minutes hopefully it gives him some confidence, he looked so nervous in the stands.
