That will be a good result for Glenelg at the end of this season.

Hope they have a plan b as Carr showed how to beat them today even though it was a draw.

And an even sillier comment.

First sentence was obviously in jest but I thought the game plan North played today was quite different to their normal game. Involved a lot of short kicking and holding possession as Glenelg flood back 50 metres behind the ball. Would probably be even more effective on Adelaide Oval.

Hmmmm, I would think all teams flood back when the opposition short kick and hold possession.

Bays were off today and got away with a handy point.

The game plan used against them today compared to normal was very noticeable IMHO as was the result.
Yes all teams do similar things but they do them to different degrees and different ways.
If the Bays have a plan B they'll be fine and maintain their favourites tag as Im sure other coaches would have taken major notes today.
If the bottom team can eek out a draw with todays game plan wirh less possies, less inside 50s, less tackles, less clearances and less hit outs then a decent side will win easily especially on an oval more suited to that game plan.

That's "reigning premiers" to you. ;)

I remember the last time when the Bays were reigning premiers, was my favourite year at school and I'm 50 next year! :D

4 goals on a perfect day against the competitions scrubbers? Hold the stubby holders, too late to stop the shirts though.

No, the Bays handled the scrubbers in the previous two weeks.

How’s Port Powers “Almost, Could’ve, should’ve missed another finals series 2019” T-shirts coming along?

I suggest a playing picture of Hinkley running away from the finals in the foreground with “01” between the 2 and 9 of his playing guernsey
on the shirt.

Maybe a reference to “fan engagement” and KT could be added as well?

:)
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Poor result from the premiership certainties. Have they taken their eye off the ball and started celebrating already?

A combination of poor delivery & our forwards’ inability to hold marks that should’ve been taken.

I dare say it hardly mattered to this mighty football machine.
How long has it been since the minor premiership has been wrapped up so early in the season? Glenelg can coast the rest of the minor round barely flexing a muscle, and will still leave demoralised shells in their wake. After accounting for what passes as their biggest threat (though "threat" seems too weighty a word for this one-sided charge to the cup) in Adelaide the week before, the Tigers had little need to dissect the Roosters and are quite rightfully thinking about how Thomas is going to look behind the bar on Brighton road after September.
Aye, they can afford to drop a game or two, give a little hope to the also-rans as Tyson appears as though he's staggering, but, come the real football in the finals and the contrast will be brutal. They know it, and, deep down, I'm afraid we know it too.
Woe betide the team that chooses to stand against them come Grand Final day, their performances this year would suggest a Mercy rule should be introduced, just for that occassion.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

Nothing but a jumble of words to deflect from the real flag favourites.

I hear there might be some Premiership players returning for their next game.

While the Tiger recuperates his strength, the rest of the field fights tooth and nail just to stay alive.
Everyone but you guys will be exhausted come finals time!
So how do the t-shirts look? Is the Tiger scratching or biting or stepping on or shitting out your Grand Final opponent?

TBH the Bays are looking quite tired now. The bye couldn't be coming at a better time. Will give the Bays a chance to recuperate and provide the imminent Pure Minor Premiers (tm) with some worthy opposition. ;)
