Roots captaincy is strange to say the least. He is use of Woakes is mind boggling. Why he's not opening thus morning is beyond me. He would cut us to pieces in these conditions.

He made that mistake in the first test by saving him for the second session.

Brought on now, bowled a few looseners to say the least but will find his line soon. Will be a testing time for our top order.

Any wicket keeping experts here? Gee Bairstow looks ordinary, his footwork is atrocious, he's lucky to stay on his feet most of the time.
Why do they swap keepers between this and ODI's?

He's stiff and rigid, relies heavily on a good eye.

England will just know if he continues to play the line of the ball outside off stump as it goes across him he will edge one sooner rather than later, it's so frustrating to watch him get out like that again.
