Mason Wood will apparently request a trade to Sydney at the end of the season.

Interesting, apparently cited "lack of success" as one of the reasons for looking around, fairly rich coming from a bloke playing in a side who has missed finals 3 of the 6 years he's been on the list and has played 58 games.

Fair enough for him to test the waters, he's had a career best season but the bar was set fairly low.

So what do people do when their side doesn't make the finals???

It's been so long since we haven't made them, 2009 to be exact... And two more times going back too 1997. Probably explains my greys.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Back to 1995, you mean. Swans played finals in '97.

You're 4 to 5 years away from playing finals, limited talent coming through and held on to pensioners for too long (who hold your team together).

You're bottoming out and the worst is to come.
