Dogs v Crows in Ballarat is sold out, was a full house when I was there two years ago.

Great spot to go for a game if you get the chance.

Very apt that we are giving a debut to a bloke named Tuth against Collingwood

Adelaide will get flogged. The Bulldogs are playing the best footy of all the teams at the moment, with Brisbane close behind. Adelaide aren't. Bullies by a lot and put the Crows into hibernation.

Carlton hopefully will fight it out and set up a good preseason for 2020.

Go Blues.

Based on how up and down this season has been I reckon we will see an upset or 2 this weekend.

Hawks, Crows and Saints will be the upsets, Hawks reward for making the finals will be to play West Coast in Perth again in Week 1 which will mean a Gee v Coll and Bris v Rich matchup 1st week of finals. Puts the loser of Geel/coll on a straight sets exit path with WC their next opponent. Loser of Bris/Rich get the bye with winner of Ess/Giants.
Either that or WC and Dogs just win and its a boring final weekend of the season

I was thinking Dogs and Adelaide could get interesting if Adelaide can choke the game.

Maybe even Freo and Port. Freo with the sacked coach theory.

Hoping we flogged you guys and kill.off your season. Go find something else to do this September, you've had your bloody share.

Great to see McVeigh and Kieran Jack get a farewell game. Hopefully they can end with a win.

Say what you want about these two but they have been fantastic for the club. KJ probably went a year or too long but he certainly had some credits. Up until this year McVeigh has been really good still.

Buddy will play next year

I don't disagree with any of your first paragraph.

Of course he'll play on, why wouldn't you cash in on $1M plus per year for 8-10 days work? They have 3 years left of this crap, they can't trade him and he wont walk.

He wont make it to 330 games.

Any of what?

It is well documented what he's on for the arse end of his career.

Hammies DO NOT get better with age, he was practically doing nothing when it went last time, personal experiences as well as knowledge of AFL player injuries tell me once they start pinging on the wrong side of 30 that managing them is impossible.

I by no means dislike the guy, he has given a lot to the game and was a true champion, I'd love to see him in his element but I don't think we'll see more than 30 more games out of him at the elite level, moreso given Sydney play a lot of night games.

I find it a little curious that Buddy is brought back for a Round 23 game that means nothing to either Sydney or St Kilda, and also for this to be his 300th. It almost seems like the Swans and Franklin are worried he won't get to 300 games if he doesn't play this week.

They could have had their pick of opponent and venue for Round 1 next year to celebrate his 300th in a game that would matter. It is a shame that it's against a low drawing opponent in the early afternoon on Saturday - might not get 25k in attendance.
