Flashscores has North on 7.20, having kicked 2.17 in the third term.

Surely that's not right....

(I note that 2 + 17 = 19...)

Not a great game, but glad to win and finally scrape ourselves off the bottom of the ladder. I think the highlight was the great turnout at the RSL at halftime, but the downside was that they ran out of stout!

Questions need to be put to the club’s powerbrokers about why we performed and prepared so poorly this year.

Definitely the latter - the former has achieved a high level of consistency over the year in providing me with cheap Coopers beer and occasional raffle winnings.

Brace yourself for a world of pain in coming years Reddeer as we are fast reaching the end where all the players who formed the nucleus of the side for the past 10 years is coming to an end.

On the bright side we have a very well performing Reserves and U18 so even though the AFL will pick the eyeballs out of the talent here hopefully we will at least be left with a couple of players who can step up to SANFL level.

We will also be heavily dependent on getting 1-2 recruits who can immediately play SANFL standard from the get-go.

But unfortunately the years of us being a sure-thing for the Finals each year is now at an end. It was an enjoyable ride but disappointing we were not able to get more ultimate success during this period.

Roosters got the wooden spoon in the reserves and 5/8 in U18's so plenty of recruiting to do into the 2020 season.

Using that theory they didn't need to do any recruiting at the start of this year.
