CBC aren’t that good. You play 1 on 1 footy with them and they panic. They got no forwards at all and rely on their mids to get it done. They would be that wrapt kilburn didn’t make the finals.

Make no mistake CBCOC are a seriously good team. Jake Johansen, Chris Draper, Matt Raymond, Sam Raymond, Justin Greenbank, Benet Copping, Matt Downie then add in Will Strange, Matt Partington etc, etc and frankly they are a better balanced team than Glenunga were last year. Loads of quality, depth and Brad Johansen and Cail Harris didn’t play. Just give them the flag and we’ll all go to the bar. Not being facetious but half these guys have either been on AFL lists, played Sanfl league or have played Div 1, 2 or thereabouts. It’s going to take a very good team to beat them from here.

Jarad, sorry my bad. Got confused with all their guns, and no I am not underestimating Smosh, those two will play in the GF but I just get the feeling CBC have been tinkering with us all till the time is right.

Greenbank is a 2 time mail medal winner playing for Roxby, hasn’t played too many games but he he adds a lot of experience to their mids.

Not bothered at all that Kilburn didn’t make the finals, plenty of good teams in the top 5. Maybe just focus on making sure you have an oval for next year champ.

Agree with this comment re CBC, reckon they have just stepped it up now and will win easy. SMOSH lost their best player last week when Rhys Woods did his knee, chuck in couple of key outs in previous weeks. They needed a full strength team to beat CBC in finals I think.

Paywall article but the headline about KFC reads “A longstanding inner-north football club needs to raise $50,000 in four weeks — or it’s going to be booted out of its home-ground, and may then fold entirely“

Tough to raise that amount in a short period , hopefully the league helps out

Why should Kilburn get spoon fed hand out after hand out over the years other clubs have been in debt by 50k-100k and managed to get out of debt takes a while but they get it done........Now lets say Kilburn get spoon fed out of debt history shows they will end up back in the same spot

I seem to recall the Council writing off a debt for the Oval lights a few years back but not sure if there has been other handouts or write-offs.

Ta. Hopefully the council can sit down with them and work through this so they can survive and be more sustainable.

Why ins't anyone talking about Walkerville as CBCOC's biggest threat? Smacked them last week and is the in form side fron the division?

Why did they have six players out that week? It is still an 11 goal loss and they would have to be your best 6 to make up that difference.
