But i will say again... for as good a bowler that Lyon is I reckon he lets us down many times in 4th innings when lesser spinners prevail. And then the missed runout...

He had stokes out if our stupid captain hadnt burnt the review.
We cant continue to play 10 vs 11 every ******* Test

That's a little unfair on Lyon .... he had Stokes out LBW. Yes he butchered the run out, but he didn't waste the review.

No it won’t.
We will destroy them in the last 2 tests.
Their luck has to run out soon along with the corrupt umpiring

Harsh to blame him
Bowled quite well on a pitch that offered little for him
Fumbled the run out, shit happens
A few 6s off him cleared the rope by about a metre otherwise would have been out
Had Stokes Plumb LBW but given Not Out because umpire Wilson is simply a JOKE and Australias use of reviews is also a JOKE

Psychologically this result could stuff Aust for the rest of the series.

With how poor the umpiring has been all series, why did we waste our last review? That last LBW was absolutely plumb and the umpire is incompetent for not giving it, but that’s why you have reviews.

Hats off to Stokes though, absolutely amazing innings
I'm gonna break my rusty cage and run

Can't agree with that this time. It has only been day three and half way through day four.

Tubby now says Aussies still only need to win one more test to retain the Ashes - what if the 4th test is a draw Tubs??? FFS....

Maybe Starc would hVe been handy with a decent yorker or two at Leach at the end.

After Wilson’s incompetence in the first test he should have been banned for life.
Staggering he was allowed to umpire just two tests later

Apart from Hazlewood our fast bowling was pretty poor all test, even if we did bowl them out for 67. Too much short-of-a-length, even to Leach at the end.

One moment will get overlooked in the whole wash-up and that was Khawaja's poor dismissal in the second innings. It meant that Head, Wade and Labuschagne were always fighting from behind in that innings rather than getting fully on top.

Stokes was amazing, but don't overlook Root and Densley's contributions.

They would still need to win or draw the last test. Hard to imagine both tests being draws

I honestly don’t think we have a chance of winning another test now so might as well bring him in for something different.

Cummins was shaking his head and saying no yet that absolute fool Paine went for the review on a whim and botched it.

It was plumb LBW,does that ump think Lyon is a leg spinner.
Yes Lyon stuffed the run out but he should've been the match winner with LBW decision.
How lucky are the poms lately.

While the Aussies burned their last review with, what it seemed to this bleary eyed viewer at the time, might have been more tactical reasons than practical - just bad luck that it would have made all the difference so soon after. I'd like to think the review system was designed to 'fill in the blanks for rare errors or close calls - not for blatant errors.

Still, the Aussies had their chances - I can't remember screaming in frustration at the television that late at night before this morning.

Stokes innings one for the ages, will be talked about by future generations as an example of what belief and focus can achieve.

Special mention to Jack Leach - played the last stand support role to perfection, as cool as a cucumber to the end.

Tim Paine talking to Tubby Taylor
Couldn't believe Lyon's LBW wasnt given, even suggested it should've been given because England had reviews left. Didn't mention his stupid review that they lost, but later mentiioned he regretted that decision, saying "....clearly I need my eyes tested because I thought it was out"
