No doubt, I was lol'ing at the one nomination, for a team that promised so much at times and had some great wins, it is a fair reality check for the group.

I guess if they don't filter the onballers down across half back he may get a look in, there aren't many regular defenders in the list.

Up against Grimes, Sicily and Hurn for the small defender roles, although Houli, Sheppard, Yeo or Stewart may come into consideration, and then you have Blicavs, Talia, Andrews and McGovern as the key defenders, one of them may be listed in a pocket.

I'm surprised Keath was overlooked after all the hype on the radio.

I don't think there are a great deal of locks, Grundy on the field and Gawn on the bench as I'm sure they'll list two ruckmen.

I think there's a few in there that we could safely put a line through immediately.

My quick go at a team:

F: C Cameron J Darling M Walters
HF: D Martin J Cameron M Bontempelli
C: H McCluggage P Cripps N Fyfe
HB: N Haynes H Andrews B Houli
B: D Grimes M Blicaves T Stewart
R: B Grundy P Dangerfield L Neale
Int: A Treloar A Gaff E Yeo J Macrae

I was most unsure about the backs. Off all the backs I think Grimes & Haynes are the only locks.
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

I didn't see enough of Haynes to pass judgement.

I think Ben Brown is a lock ahead of Footsteps Darling, can't argue with much else apart from I'd say Gawn would have to occupy the pine at the expense of I don't know who, Yeo's 7.7 tackles per game can not be under estimated.

Tom Papley will fly down to Melbourne this week and meet with officials from both North Melbourne Football Club and Carlton Football Club, as he contemplates his future
A swans official will accompany him on the trip, at this stage looks to be CEO Tom Harley, in order to see which club has the better trade offer put forward.

How are you with the possibility of losing him?

North sound like they'll try and do a swap for Mason Wood. I'd prefer Papley myself.
