We were very close to getting Martin last year but not sure we have the cap space or picks to get it done unless we move out a player worth something

Good on him for remaining loyal. Always likely to stay. The Giants cleared up their salary cap issues last year, so I'm sure they were able to make him substantial offer, albeit a fair bit less than what Carlton or Hawks would have offered. He will end up captain ..... outstanding leader.

Good luck to him for being loyal but he’ll be playing in an average side that’ll never win a premiership in those years.
GWS will always be an average side whilst Cameron is coach.

True, but it just seems odd coming from a Carlton person. I mean I know what you are saying and yeah fair call but...just seems odd.

GWS side/list is far better than Carlton’s though.
GWS should be a far better side but Cameron is holding them back.

Would I have taken Coniglio at Carlton, absolutely but we missed out like several other teams.

You're right, good pick up.

Other than Burgoyne, McEvoy, Lake, Gibson, Guerra, Croad, Hale, Frawley, Gunston (all Premiership players) and Mitchell (Brownlow Medalist ) Wingard, O'Meara, Scully and Impey who have they ever picked up?
