This will excite some of you fellas-
Tim Paine will be rested and won't play in Australia's 3 day tour match against Derbyshire starting tomorrow, Alex Carey has been drafted in to take the gloves for the match.

Warner, Head, Cummins, Hazlewood, Pattinson and Lyon won't play in the match aswell. Khawaja will skipper the side.

Not really, we all know the selectors wont have the balls to drop Paine

He's recently made scores of 56 and 69* in Sussex's last 4 day match last week so he's in some good form to come in for the tour match lol.

He was packing on the weekend as his Sussex contract just finished (despite them wanting him to stay), obviously got a call from Aussie selectors.

Some talk that the pitch at Old Trafford will turn big. Can't imagine the Poms preparing a turner with Jimmy coming back to team with Broad and Archer.

He didn’t have a county contract for red ball cricket but thought he was contracted for the whole T20 season which still has a month to run

Why isn't Warner playing this match? Surely with the form he's in he needs all the practice he can get, or, have the selectors already made the decision to axe him?

I think the other blokes needed batting practice even more than him (with the exception of Labuschagne). Which is a bit of a worry.

I assume that they're only playing eleven.

Can we afford to keep him?
This has got the 2005 Ashes written all over it, they wouldnt bring in Hussey when all the punters wanted him. Cant remember who we carried that tour?
Carey is such an obvious replacement and the time is right now. I don't care who they make Captain, Smith will do it anyway
