Agree the legacy of Walsh passing and camp has had long term effects that will likely never go away with each player who was involved in those periods. Couple that with the constant local and national attention this club has received since the 2017 GF, and mentally they are completely shot. If I was a player I would not want to play for us for that alone.

You would think a change of environment would be the preferred option for many of the players to reinvigorate themselves.

You would think a change of the environment they are in and shall remain in may be enough for some, not for others.

The troubles run deep.

When there is platforms for both clubs to run media agendas, I would hate to play football in SA for either club. Period. It has become toxic.

I think Jenkins is leading the way in many respects.

Speak openly and then the scuttlebutt gets hit on the head instantly. We need more of the people at the top ( I think Koch and Thomas do, a little ) to shoot straight from the hip and not bullshit us, other wise Joe Moron-Public buys into the hyperbole.

All clubs BS and tell mistruths to their fans unfortunately, it’s just that in a 2 horse town their is a lot more scrutiny.
It does make clubs look silly when they are caught red handed though. The Crows one the other day was a beauty where they called a press conference to announce Douglas’ retirement and then 20 seconds after the presser starts Douglas says he is looking to play on at another club if possible.

Well put. If the club can tidy a few things up off-field they may not dwell as long as many expect. Problem at the moment is that the CURRENT group of players wouldn't want to be there, no reason new players should be as affected. Turning over the list as much as they reasonably can could be a win-win for both the club and players alike.

I wonder how Betts time at crows is going to play out. The club will be wanting him to take an offer elsewhere so they dont get a fan uproar when they give him the boot, Betts will want the club to openly say he's cut so he doesnt look like a deserter. A lot going on under the covers you would suspect.

Tom Rehn reporting Andrew Fagan will play a role on the "external" review. Surely not? Although I'm not surprised if he does....

So turns out Dunstall is chairing the external group with Pavlich and a couple of others, and Fagan to be involved as requested.

Requested by who? Fagan?

I actually don't have an issue with Fagan being involved, but the fact you've specifically edited the post, moving away from original wording indicated the panel requested he be involved, to "someone" requesting Fagan's involvement is interesting.

What would they have to pay Pavlich and Dunstall to carry out this review?
What would their interest be in making the Crows better? May as well have got Kane Cornes to do it, now that would be a review :D
