Are Lockleys the most consistent B grade side in the AdFL?

The past 6 seasons prior to this has seen them play off in 4 Grand Finals and 1 Prelim where they lost to eventual premiers CBC.

Only once in that 6 years have they failed to reach the at least the last 3 teams.. ;)

Who wins the medals tonight? Tough to really identify a standout, lot of consistent performers over the season.

I'm going top 3 chances:

D5: Chesser (KEN), Wilson-King (KEN), Sandery (HV)
D5R: Moran (HV), Delawyer (KEN), Jed Banwell (SAL)
C5: Esposito (PUL), B Anderson (HV), Nicholson (PUL)

Others who may poll well:
D5: Hellmanns (HV), Walkley (EP), Tripodi (PUL), Matthews (SAL)
D5R: Scala (LOC), Rentoulis (HV), Norman (KEN)
C5: Who cares.

Which Rentoulis Bedge, Alex or Jimmy? I really hope Chrissy Moran polls well, he's a ripper kid and always gives 200% on field. I reckon Buddah Delawyer has won a medal before, am I right @Laughingkookaburra

Jimmy. Alex played mostly A grade.

They have a lot of good sorts though HV which may take votes off each other - Mann and Gower have both always played well when i've seen them as well.

*edit* - winner probably should come from Salisbury, but they're one of the most well rounded sides it's hard to really see one major standout. Think Pryor polls well but is ineligible. Rogers, McPherson and Brown other who might be around the mark, and Bilney/Balchin may poll for their work forward.

Buddha almost won the D6 medal a while back.

Doubt anyone from a Kenilworth will win the A’s - A lot of blokes taking votes off each other.

My tip is Keenihan from Salisbury.

True, but winning 17/18 games should see the club collect ~85%** of votes available.

Lots of games they should pick up all 6.

**I just made that percentage up, nothing to substantiate it.

True, however all you need is one bolter from another club and she’s all over. We’ll have a strong contingent right in the mix no doubt but I can’t see someone winning it from us.

Keenihan, Sandrey and Wilson-King top 3.

Salisbury won't have a medal winner in either grade I don't think, Matthews may poll best for us in the A Grade being a midfielder with pace who had a good back half of the year while we were winning.

Wilson-King to win from Walkley, Chesser or Tripodi.

would agree with most of that..i have wilson-king to win it..then maybe a mix of tripodi from PFC, kelly from smithies, matthews the most dynamic at salisbury and perhaps sandery will be noticed the most from HVFC..

in the reserves i dont think budda played in enough winning games..would reckon a salisbury lad like banwell might get there..

C5: care factor..minimal..

Nice warm day tomorrow with a decent Northerly blowing. - Nothing better than playing finals on a warmer day...

Tips tomorrow;

A’s - Lockleys by 8 points, Kenilworth by 17 points (hopefully).

B’s - Lockleys by 28 points, Salisbury by 21 points.

Best of luck tomorrow to all involved and best of luck to the Salisbury A grade players livers tomorrow with Silly Saturday.

This is true, drinking in the warm weather is a long way behind but will have to do. Stock the bar LK :drinkers:

Kenilworth and Pulteney in the ones, and Salisbury and Lockleys in the twos.

Mate, I really look forward to seeing the best player list that the clubs submit in games that I've umpired just so I can see if I was around the mark, you get a feeling of accomplishment when you're on the money, I treat myself to a beer when it happens.

If you ever umpire one of my games, dont bother looking then - i just throw darts at the board, or ask anyone "who wants their name in the paper?"

Couldn't care less about best players.
