I recon they'll push Khawaja up to open, with Harris making way.
Smith comes in at 3 or 4 (labuschagne the other spot), and then Marsh at 6 to replace Wade.
Starc to replace Pattinson.
Danny Southern telling Plugga he's fat, I'd like to see that!

Just watched the Trevor Hohns presser and the way he was talking they're definitely considering him. F**king hope it doesn't happen, really don't want him in the team.

I'm not totally against it given how brittle we are at the moment.

Is anybody else concerned about the psychological impact the Archer hit may have on Smith?

I just hope that he can remind himself in between each ball that he is the best batsman in the world.

Yeah a bit LM, especially as our other batsmen didn't dominate him in the Third test. If we had have made 450 and he went for plenty it might be different.

I also wondered whether they might put Smith at 5, but then that might be an admission of this.

FWIW, Smith in for Wade and shuffle Marnus and Head down a spot

Hopefully that’s it for Usman I am totally over his half hearted lazy forward defense slips catching practice edges.

Starc could be a genius move or a complete disaster

Lazy at the crease, lazy in the field, not what the Australian team represents.

Pattinson rested? Dont recall resting Glenn McGrath / Dennis Lillee / Shane Warne .

Warnie was a spinner, the other two are legends of the game, Pattinson is averaging over 33 this series on bowler friendly decks.

I'm fine with it, get the ball coming from a new angle, Starc wouldn't have allowed the Poms to put on an unbeaten 76 run 10th wicket partnership.

Easing him back into it after severe injury issues. Langer mentioned he wouldn’t play consecutive tests for about 6-12 months

Lots of discussion around Khawaja being dropped and whilst I think it needed to be done I'm surprised they would of given him another chance after he made 72 opening in the tour match against Derbyshire. Like you said I was getting really frustrated with his recent dismissals, nicking off after playing outside off stump with the ball going across him whether there was any sideways movement or not. He was becoming the easiest wicket to take in the team, concerning when he's the number 3.

While we have some changes and there was the rumour of Marsh coming in for Wade we a still in a better position with our top 6 than England. Hiding Jason Roy down at number 4 and promoting Joe Denly to open is absolutely comical. Denly has just started to find his feet at four and is moved only because Roy and showed he is clearly not up to it. England obviously have nothing else if they prefer to reshuffle their order rather than dropping Roy.

Probably, but I doubt we'd have rolled them for 67 in the first innings with him bowling.

I just hope his radar is on and they don't get on top of him early.

And maybe we don't give up 359 in the fourth with him bowling. Pattinson isn't taking wickets.

Agreed.

My point is it's six of one, half a dozen of the other - i.e. the Poms might have been chasing less.
