This takes thin skinned to a new level.

Two Australian supporters were ejected from Old Trafford on the first day of the fourth Ashes Test for using "foul and abusive" language towards England fast bowler Jofra Archer. The pair, who were standing below the England dressing room, are alleged to have shouted "Jofra, show us your passport" among other things according to the Daily Telegraph.

Other spectators standing near the pair are understood to have complained to stewards but, as the abuse escalated, protested to the police which resulted in the two men being asked to leave the ground. A Lancashire spokesman confirmed the incident took place and insisted the club have a zero tolerance policy on abusive behaviour. While Archer was born in Barbados, he has long had a UK passport courtesy of his British father. Frank Archer was born in Catford and was a driver on the London underground before retiring to Liverpool.

Archer did not respond to the abuse but was described by the Telegraph as looking "angered."

"Jofra's been coming here since he was two-years-old so you've got to ignore that stuff in the press about how he's just popped up from nowhere," Frank told the Cricket Paper.

Joffra was so angry, he started hurling balls down at 82mph. It would have been a blessing for the Aussies that got kicked out .... down to the nearest pub which would have been much warmer.

I reckon letting Archer's bouncers pass through to the keeper is a legitimate run scoring attempt, Bairstow doesn't fill me with any confidence whatsoever.
Is he genuinely a better keeper than Butler0 r anyone else for that matter. Surely he could hold down a no6 position as a pure bat and get someone in that can keep

This innings we have learnt a lot about the character of Joffra... front runner of highest order.

We are batting England out of the game and yet we are only playing with two batsmen.

Really happy to see Paine make some runs. He will always be under pressure until the day Carey takes his spot but he deserves far more credit for the makeover of the Aussie cricket brand. And this is more likely to come when he makes some runs

Agree with your 1st point. Give it a couple more years and he'll be on the T20 circuit only.

Deep down Paine knows these two tests decides his future as a Test player. He needs to make runs.

We lose the ASHES he is gone, IMO, we retain them and he's playing against the Pakis in Brisbane in late Nov.

I like that he is making runs,
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Kicking fans out of the ground for their relentless abuse on Archer - Wasn’t an issue the crowds were teeing off at Smith, Warner and Bancroft in any capacity that they seen fit - Especially at Edgbaston. Hopefully we can put a nail in the coffin tomorrow and finish what we should have done last test.

Many moons ago there were endless debated between myself and a couple of other posters in particular.

I continued to defend the reselection of Smith on multiple occasions.

Out of jest I labelled him 'The Blonde Don'

I actually never thought that would become a reality.

WOW.
