Footy is a prick of a game. In my time playing I was lucky and we had a pretty good run in games that mattered - I appreciate that more than ever after today. In recent times we haven’t.

Well done to Hope Valley and Pulteney on gaining promotion. I’m always proud of our club but the end of the day if we lose 2 finals at home then we shouldn’t go up.

Kenilworth injuries at the wrong end of the season derailed them.. losing Chesser & Garner for today was massive and probably the difference. Meant JWK and Zesers had to work overtime to make up the gap and it showed in the last as they ran out of legs.

‘Burras had their chances but couldn’t capitalise, Sipek on Liverton was brilliant, Brodie showed why he won the medal and Ryles looks 10 times better player in the back half.

Unfortunate outcome for the best side all year.. but **** em, I’m glad we won.. and credit to Pulteney, they bowed out in the prelim last year and went out and recruited hard... for me. 8)

The biggest change in the game was when a Kenilworth player kicked to a team mate all alone at Full forward just as the 3 quarter time siren went. The player at full forward decided to mark the ball rather than allowing it the chance to bounce through for a goal. It would of given the kooks a 3 goal buffer and some added momentum heading into the 4th quarter.

Some good rivalries for WC too.
Obviously Fitzroy and Rosewater, throw in Lockleys from not so long ago too. Should be a good comp.
