How dare you heap anything but praise upon the Raging Bull. How dare you.

We’ve got our fair share of shit dribblers in the media but Dwayne Russell is next level. Utter clown.

3 years for a ruckman turning 32 next year is a bit too much but I guess that’s what you have to pay to keep quality players

Ridiculous deal considering how quickly ruck men fall away in their 30's.

North been had there.
Gee all the North supporters that normally comment on deals are not commenting on this one.

I will stick up for them here.
I agree it’s a year too much but if that was the sticking point for him then you just have to cough it up and wear it. He is a pretty decent player so if they get 2 good years out of him they would stoked, anything more and it’s a bonus.

I don’t think the club is prepared for the backlash. Will be booed more than the umpires :)

Especially if they’ve front ended it. Could always snip him if he falls away with a year to run without too much heartache.

I wouldn’t waste my time booing him personally but I don’t want the flog anywhere near the club and there will be a rift in the playing group if he returned.

C'mon Jim, it wouldn't be Essendon if there wasn't a rift somewhere in the club... ;)

Ridiculous deal considering how quickly ruck men fall away in their 30's.

Goldy is known for his endurance, unlike many big men, and has come off one of his best seasons. I'd suggest the last year is very much performance based with the contract front loaded. Id be pretty confident he will get thru the next 2 years and by then one of our young ruckmen will be ready to take over.

Not at all. He was well within his rights to seek a trade just as others did and I don’t blame him for leaving.
There were issues with him and some players before that time and I thought the way he handled his exit was poor but it is what it is. I just find it funny after the shenanigans him and his manager played that now when no other club wants him and his career is pretty much over he wants to come back and milk the club again. He doesn’t fit our needs and I’d be surprised if he has a season remaining in his body
