Rioli tests positive to illicit substance - strike, nobody knows ( unless he has 2 already )

Rioli gets caught pouring energy drink into sample pot - up to ( and usually ) a 4 year ban

He panicked.

Might have been his 3rd strike as you’ve alluded too.
Surely no one is that stupid otherwise.

He would be silly not to use the same claim that an unnamed player has used 22 times in order to escape sanction.

Hate the thought of Willie getting 4 years, have enjoyed watching him since he was a cub at the Bays. If he gets the max penalty, you’d have to think it’s unlikely we’d see him again, and at best we’d miss 4 of his best years :(

In my mind he must have come in premeditated with a fluid in his pants, like in a condom, as I wouldn’t think he would be allowed to have a drink with him whilst doing it?

On the drug testing, will be interesting to see in the years to come what - if any - changes are made to accommodate Cannibinoids given the medical benefits that become more known by the day.

So Willie has to be seen actually pee in the jar.
The asada witness mustn't have done his/her job properly!
If they did then it would've simply been a refusal to undertake the test.
Lesser penalty, like Whitfield got.
The asada person has ballsed this up bigtime!

The tester allows the athlete to tamper with the sample, its a great way to catch them. They ask for a second sample that is legit.

So what I have read is that he was smoking a bit of hooch, then panicked and poured a sports drink into his urine sample.....

So in essence he has gone from getting a strike to a 1 - 4 year ban.

Very intelligent stuff.

I.must admit when I first heard about it I assume it was something like that or coke that he was trying to cover up.

So ASADA are saying that Willie was caught red handed holding someone else’s Willie?

Wouldn't be the first Willie to go 4 years without any action.

More than hooch IMO.
It’s amazing how he has returned from injuries several weeks quicker than expected. Either has wonderful healing properties or he is on some good stuff
