1. Kenilworth - quality, pricing, speed of service. Well done on taking out this years prize.
2. Eastern Park
3. Rosewater - just pip Salisbury because their hotdog was bloody sensational, and they have a good range of product.
4. Salisbury
5. Hope Valley
6. Lockleys - work needs to be done here, fell off the pace this year with their performance - cant rely on Stormy forever.
7. Trinity OS
8. Smithfield
9. Pulteney - certainly most improved by a fair way, but coming from a long way back. Work still to be done in this space.
10. Blackfriars OS - comparable to Pulteney circa 2017. In their defence was a home game at Thebby, but still, no excuses.

You won’t find many better chips and gravy around then the Kenilworth Canteen.

HV's chips and gravy went viral earlier in the year thanks to Lockleys

Eastern Park have the best chips & gravy, followed by Hope Valley & Kenilworth about even.

Kenilworth marginally ahead simple because I only had to wait all of about 90 seconds for mine, the old duck was all over it pumping them out!

Must say chips & gravy are becoming super popular - clubs who do them and do them well are streets ahead of the rest.. especially on a cold day.

Other tips:
Be like Kenilworth - add lettuce/tomato to your steak sandwich.. good balance and texture.
Toast your hotdogs quickly in a sandwich press like Rosewater.. so much better.
Anything quick and easy to make and eat will be a winner - hot chips, spring rolls, dim sims.. grab and go!
Bakery pies > Balfours/Villis
Little $1 lolly bags on the go will perform well.

Best it’s been in 10yrs - dropped 4pts and is in ideal range, good cholesterol is up too.

I eat extremely well during the week, Saturday’s at footy are my day.. but also I don’t actually eat that much Sat because I’m busy - just grab something between games or breaks.

Still fat as **** though

tbh i only care about one game..

HVFC in C grade by 2-3 goals, just slightly better..great forward targets..
LFC in B grade by 10 points, won by 10 goals last time they met but that margin will be considerably shortened..
HVFC in A grade by 2 goals, extra weeks rest, their footy style will restrict PFC movement..games between these two have been close all year..

good luck to all, may the best team win..

1. Kenilworth - quality, pricing, speed of service. Well done on taking out this years prize.- agree
2. Eastern Park- didn't go as was away
3. Rosewater - just pip Salisbury because their hotdog was bloody sensational, and they have a good range of product.- always get their hot dog.
4. Salisbury- what canteen?
5. Hope Valley- also have a ripper hot dog
6. Lockleys - work needs to be done here, fell off the pace this year with their performance - cant rely on Stormy forever. all new canteen and bbqnext year so will have to wait and see
7. Trinity OS-much improved on the past but not a fan of the ticketing system
8. Smithfield passable
9. Pulteney - certainly most improved by a fair way, but coming from a long way back. Work still to be done in this space.again, what canteen?
10. Blackfriars OS - comparable to Pulteney circa 2017. In their defence was a home game at Thebby, but still, no excusesbbq's ok but the pies from the local bakery are a winner.

To have a combined canteen/bbq ranking, I would've thought you'd need a canteen to qualify? Salisbury didn't have a canteen the two times we went out there so it'll be interesting to see what they dish up this week! I'll await your report Bedge as 'll be at the Ponderosa.

Maybe our BBQ was just that good. ;)

There will be a canteen inside the clubrooms at Salisbury this week.

Grand Final Preview
Daylight begins extending, birds chirping, smell of freshly cut grass in the air, weather begins to warm up.. ah yes Spring is in the air! Better than those things though, Spring also signifiies footy finals, and the ultimate clash - the Grand Final.

160 days since Round 1 when 10 teams went to battle, full of hope, optimisim and aspirations for the season ahead - we have finally withered that number down to 2.

Hope Valley and Pulteney.

Two clubs that made no secret of their desire to get out of D5 this season - Valleys led the charge with the appointment of Mitch Sandery as player/coach, and quickly the recruits followed. Pulteney began a little quieter, but ramped up on the recruiting as they headed towards Christmas. Both clubs building formidable squads, both clubs getting what they desired out of most of their pick ups.

Over the season, these sides have clashed on three occasions - Hope Valley lead the ledger 2-1 with the margins being 2pts, 2pts and 4pts. On each occasion the game has gone down to the last minutes - Round 8 saw a wobbling snap from 45m off the boot of Dan Williamson bounce it's way through to snatch the lead late in the last. Rd 17 saw a tough arm wrestle in wet and blustery conditions - Josh Sipek with a long range goal to hit the lead.

In the Qualifying final, Valleys couldn't put the Blues away despite peppering the goals in the last, before Pulteney went coast to coast and the ball landed in the arms of Scott-Collings who had a chance to steal the match from the Dees.

All three games have been hard fought and uncompromising and talent abundant on both sides. Hellmanns, Sandery and Duggan the big three for the Demons, but Williams and Pemble have been superb in the back half, whilst Dowling has offered plenty through the middle. Williamson and Tanczos can have their moments and impact the game.

Garang vs Brodie in the ruck will be a clash to watch - the young athletic jumper in Machok against the experienced bigger body and association medalist in Rory.

For the Blues, looking for Polec, Frick and Mattner to be most influential.

The prize is no greater tomorrow, premiership glory, eternal memories, named etched in history. 25 degrees, big ground, beautiful conditions - strap yourselves in this promises to be a classic.

Hope Valley would love nothing more than to claim it's first flag in a long time, ironically though - it's the "one less team" they needed to compete with that stands in their way.

Pulteney by 4pts - leaves the ledger 2-2 and nothing splitting the two sides in terms of margins for the year.. but with the Blues heading home with the bling.

Salisbury win B grade. Lockleys finish with 17 after player sent off start of last quarter. Without a doubt cost them the game along with their terrible kicking for goal.
