i think we don't need Daniher, but if we get him i am assuming they may move Reid down back???? There has been talk for some time that Horse is keen to play him CHB...
Or Blakey on the wing??? We also have Sam Naismith who will come back, so we will need to find room for Sinclair up there too...

Potential forwards for next year
Buddy
Reid
Sinclair
Daniher
Papley
Blakey
Heeney
Ronke

So if you could choose one of Daniher or Papley which one?
No way you have both next year

Did you read my post from the previous page???

Papley has years left on his contract, and we have plenty of cash. We can fit both in

And the top 10 pick as a minimum you would require?

he's not worth it but we can give you pick 5 (i think that's our earliest pick), and maybe Jones

How does the Swans have ‘plenty of cash’ with Franklins contract still around

Tippett is finally paid off and off our books
McVeigh
Grundy
Nick Smith
Just to name a few.
All off our books
I reckon Jones is gone too...
Then anyone else who moves somewhere else and cut

We have barely recruited for the past couple of years... Especially no one who would be worth lots.

Simple, piss Reid off to the backline or just drop him altogether. Never been up to standard IMO.

I'd be more concerned if i was an opposition side how are you going to match up with them... Just a guess but i'd assume Buddy would play up the ground and Daniher deep...

Menzel?

Carlton are a nucleus of 22 year olds on the rise why would we want a washed up hack like betts at this stage in our journey. Would rather take greenwood

He won't be on that if he moves. Adelaide will be paying most of it, which makes it sweeter. I don't expect him to play 22 games but he would be great for Harry McKay and Charlie Curnow as far as leading to correct positions.

Greenwood into our forward-line? No.

What makes you think that? Crows want him to stay. If he leaves, its on him to accept a pay cut.

Really - I thought if he decided to go, his contract went with him - but the only way he'd go is for us to pay say 400k and the Crows the rest - or have I got that wrong? I can't see us paying that much for him. A pick in the 50's or 60's I think would suffice.

If he wants to go, he breaks the AFC contract and accepts whatever Carlton offer him.
If Crows want him to go, we would need to cover the difference between his existing contract (which AFC is breaking) and Carltons offer.

So is it only when both parties agree to move him on that AFC would pay part of the contract? I've seen players like Cloke for instance have part of his salary paid by Collingwood yet play for the Bulldogs.

Pretty much. If the Crows didn't have much interest in keeping Betts they'd hang onto him due to what they're bound to pay him - But if they could let him go elsewhere and pay only a portion of his wage they'd still be financially better off if he doesn't feature in their plans.
