I believe whilst these two hold the positions that they currently do we will continue to be a mediocre cricket state. We've become stale and it shows. South Australian cricket is in big trouble and drastic changes need to be made, first starting with employing people from outside this state without the rose coloured glasses and make some big calls

Spot on, well said.

If I was a young player here in SA I'd be barracking for SA to not do well - hopefully eventually a big clean out happens and some fresh talent can be brought in. I know there's plenty of kids out there in grade cricket at the moment who seem to have the talent but may not have the "runs on the board" yet - but maybe giving them an opportunity can't be any worse than what looks to appear to be another poor season?

If as a state we are going to lose games in a poor fashion using the same cattle as we have for the previous poor performing years then I would rather they grab the best youth we have and start a new team. Yes we'll lose games but the more they play together and the more exposure they have to the higher Level then they can build a culture together. Set up a 5 year plan, but a plan that can provide sustained success and potentially unearth some talent for the Aussie side. I'd rather see us lose games with the aim of developing the next crop of players.
Get that corn outta my face!!

Sure is isn't it, Bancroft playing as a specialist number 7. WA made 312 with some lusting hitting from Short, 129 (101)

Interesting looks like Redbacks dropped Weatherald (unless injured??) when he was 2nd top scorer? Nielsen in (good call, thought would be for Ross though.

Agar dropped as well which is fair enough as he is the most over rated bowler going around, Pope in.

Lucky won the toss as not easy batting at 9.30am, 5/27 already!!

Andrea McCauley got most votes. Then Will Rayner and James Orchard next.
