In front of a packed gallery at tonight’s Council meeting, the City of Port Adelaide Enfield Council voted to offer Kilburn Football and Cricket Club a 12 month lease for their clubrooms at Blair Athol reserve. Council staff have been having ongoing conversations with the club since serious concerns were raised about their financial viability. The council acknowledges the hard work the club has undertaken to attempt to turn around its difficult financial position.
While the club still faces a tough road ahead, the council wanted to give the club every chance to prove that it can continue to offer services to the local community and we will be doing what we can to support them to be a strong thriving club again and continue to provide sporting activities for the local community.
