Travis Head - dropped first ball trying big pull shot, then second ball tries cutting too close to body (as usual with him) and caught behind.

Seriously, how many times will he get out this way???

And Weatherald too, he has been carried for over two years now, about time they dropped him. Too worried about getting his tattoo sleeve done, absolute big head.

2/15

Head placing too much pressure on himself, just go out there and bat son, he's probably dropped down the pecking order now for a recall.

He was unlucky to be dropped, I think we'll flog the Paki's and the top order will be safe for the whole series, Mitch opened the door for hopeful's but his brother will probably get the nod ahead of Pucovski.

Warner
******* (up for grabs)
Labstain
Smith
*******(up for grabs)
Wade
Paine
Cummins
Starc
Lyon
Hazlewood

Head's best bet is if they risk SMarsh as an opener, otherwise I can see him not getting a guernsey, Khawaja will get another chance before he does.

The T20 game is killing his longer version game, has been a bit of a flash in the pan for the Strikers but can't concentrate now when required.

SACA might seriously have to start thinking more of the future. The same blokes keep getting picked and keep failing. They make plenty of runs on flat grade wickets against not much bowling and then fail time and time again and keep getting out the same way. Pick some young blokes - they won't do any worse than what is currently happening and hopefully one or two of them stand up?

I just tweeted he needs to put that rubbish shot away, he gets out all the time rocking back to a good length ball playing away from his body.

It's usually a perfect length to get forward and drive through cover that gets him because he lays back and slashes at it. How do blokes get to that level with such basic deficiencies?

Problem is the young blokes have come through the very same system these blokes have. Our pathways are clearly insufficient, change has been spoken about for too long by the blokes in stupid ties with links to the 1950's.

SA cricket has died because of it.

Travis Head makes a lot of runs playing the offside slash as well
He just needs to execute that shot better
At some stage this season the slash will earn some runs
Up until the last couple of tests against England, his test career was progressing well

Cricket is a classic example of the adelaide/SA mentality of not wanting to change anything/can't do this/can't do that - too many people in positions of control don't want to change (or are allowed to change) - living in the "glory days" i.e. grade comp much weaker than in previous years. No wonder more players from interstate will now come over to try to get an opportunity (look at the current 2nd X1). Probably should just merge with NSW 2nds/ACT.

Listened to Crash Craddock every week on SEN with Whatley, he is on for 30 mins and gives a brilliant insight into aussie cricket, check out the podcast if you can.

Anyway he was saying yesterday that Head tries to hit his defensive shots too hard, almost trying to score off all of them. Said he needs to just learn to hit the good balls to his feat and wait for the poor deliveries.

Also said Cooper is a roughy for a baggy green this summer
