Actually, I'm just pointing out if it isn't for them, why are they bothering? They've made it clear they don't like it, yet keep coming back for more.

Just because you don't like something, doesn't mean you can't have an opinion does it?? If so, too bad.

Of course not, but I don't bother going into the soccer, basketball or tennis forums, I'd feel pretty stupid if I did.

Time for the AFLW to stand on it's own two feet and stop bleeding the AFL of money.

$10 entrance fee should be charged then see how serious people think of it.

It will become a millstone around the neck of the AFL if it doesn't learn to stand on it's own two feet.

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

I tend to agree that the time has come to charge admission for AFLW, but only on the proviso that the profits remain with the AFLW. I think we all know that won’t happen though..

Would suggest they are waiting until all clubs have a team and then they will be played as curtain raisers to the men

I am going to have to disagree with you in regard to the Match day -
i'd love to see the Km's travelled between a current midfielder compared to one 'back in the day'...
Gameplan back in the day was kick the ball long and maybe punch the other teams best player in the head just to spice it up! Now they have to actually think, deal with rotations, zone's, presses and several other roles.
They hit probably a lot harder now due to the bigger bodies. Being athletes.

Absolutely. You have to run and run and run and run now. Much tougher on match day now I reckon.

More rotations equals a faster game and less rest. I remember when blokes got dragged in the old days they'd a massive bronxy because they are are just about track suited.

It's not more physical in the contest I don't think but I think the skill comes in where you work in close confines. We had space back in my day but it was pretty brutal at the same time. The contest these days is quicker and more congested.

No way, with no gate takings they can rely on catering for some income, there will be no difference if they were a curtain raiser and all the money wont go back into the system.

On-ballers never came off in the 80's and 90's, they went and rested in a pocket.
There was only two on the bench too and they were there for injuries, some never even went on.

Rested in a pocket meant you actually stayed there, these days forward pockets are in the def50 and everywhere else. The running and work rate required these days is like a different sport to the 80's & 90's
