Ric Ocasek, singer and guitarist from The Cars has died aged 75. He wrote every song for the group and later went on to be a highly acclaimed producer

Hard to believe he was 75, he would've been in his mid thirties when The Cars were at their peak. One of the great late 70s early-mid 80s new wave/pop bands.

Played a bit on Double J today. I thought to myself Bryan Ferry must of died, thinking he was in The Cars.

He was from the era when Roger Cardwell was reading the news on Ch 9, Lionel Williams was on day time programs on Ch10. Anne Willis, Dean Davis, Robin Roenfeldt....doyens of Adelaide TV growing up. I miss those days.
