The past two years my son and I, and a group of mates have headed over for the Rich v Carlton game on the Thursday night. I'm glad the AFL have stuck with this as a season opener, albeit being a tough opening for us in recent years.

Next year's opener should be a good game. I know my son is already looking forward to it.

Go Blues.

Gee it would be nice one season to actually start the season at home. At least i'll get to see them early this year

Especially with their poor home record in recent times, it will be excellent for them to go 1-0 with one road trip out of the way early.

I have to agree, there will be some drubbings, last season they had the minnows up against each other early in the season to give them some false hope.
