I spent several summers of my youth in Coobowie, Edithburgh and Yorketown and I know several families that still live in the area.
I don't pray, but I hope like buggery they and their world's are ok.
When they talk about lives and properties lost they are really just made up numbers, my Grandparents lost their house to the Pinery fires, they were in their 80's and then there was a loophole in their insurance cover which seen them not receive compensation, they both passed away within 18 months after it, it basically killed them having to start from scratch at their age.
