James Pattinson has been suspended for one match due to abuse and therefore cannot play the first test against Pakistan.

A shattered James Pattinson has been granted time away from the Australian team camp to clear his head, after copping a one-Test ban for using a homophobic slur.

Oh Jesus, you stuffed up mate, you've been punished, move on, don't play the victim.

He seems a pretty surly sort of bloke, no doubt he'll stuff up again, it's what fast bowlers do.

Very surly. He has got zero personality. Doesn't know how to smile. And really should lighten up. It's often the "older" fast bowlers that are like that this day and age. The "younger" guys are generally a lot more genial.

Would they have rubbed him out if we were playing England or India? The cynic in me thinks not and a fine would've been his 'punishment'.
