Looking forward to this one, saw them at the Espy in St Kilda a couple of years back before The Deep End's last gig and they were good!
Now have 2 members of the Deep End and currently touring in Europe.
Hopefully will get there to support the lads as they would be terribly disappointed their gigs with Kiss have fallen through thanks to Paul Stanley's throat

I went the The Smith Street Band at Thebarton Theatre on Saturday night. After the band cancelled their tour earlier this year, Saturday night made up for it and it was great to see them again, was an awesome gig with a great crowd.

From what I read and heard frontman Wil Wagner went through a real bad time in his life earlier this year causing the band to cancel their initial tour. His music and lyrics spoke to me 2 years ago when I got really got into them just as I was abandoned by someone I trusted leaving me quite in a lonely and unsure place just as I was really starting out my adult life and everything he sung about sort of tied in with how I felt about life, family, friends and especially women in that point in time.
It was awesome to see him back where he does his best work, playing his music for us adoring fans. He is an amazing Australian musician.

I didn't even know The Smith Street Band were still around. It seems their gigs have been blacklisted like Sticky Fingers.

This might have something to do with it:

This is a shame, I like both acts. Camp Cope music brings me back to the bands I listened to in the 90's

Off to see Dear Seattle on Friday night, supported by Horror my Friend.

Been listening to their stuff non-stop over the last 6 months, going to be one of the oldest there but don't care!

Fresh grunge/punk sound from the 90's

The kids might think you're a Narc.

You should give Spanish Love Songs a listen, punk with emo type lyrics.

Giant Sings the Blues is a cracker of an album, start with songs Mexico, Nervous People and Remainder.
