You think you had it tough.

I had to get up in the morning at 10 o'clock at night, half an hour before I went to bed, eat a lump of cold poison, work 29 hours a day down mill and pay mill owner for permission to come to work, and when we got home, our dad would kill us and dance about on our grave singing 'Hallelujah".

It's amazing how many parents have told me their kids are staying home today, each to their own but no wonder we live in a delicate world nowadays.

And every single classroom is airconditioned, kids won't even see the heat unless they're out to go to the toilet.

"Westpac CEO Brian Hartzer will step down on 2nd Dec and will be paid his fixed salary of $2.7 million in lieu of 12 months' notice. He will be replaced by CFO Peter King as acting CEO – corporate musical chairs basically – Peter King will be paid a fixed salary of $2.1 million, a short-term bonus of $2.1 million and annual long-term incentives of $2.8 million.

Most of these executives have worked at Westpac throughout the time of scandal, yet all I see is reward in the millions. Even the commentators have asked to play things down such is the level of scandal..."

The above is quoted from a Whirlpool post from user "Goshy".

What an absolutely disgraceful set of circumstances. 12 months pay in lieu of notice? How about the board just sacks the prikc! And then the lot of them resign. Why is it the top execs get nothing but rewarded for managing these debacles?

Novelty has worn off for me. Get back to regular Test Match timing and let the Gabba have day/night if needed.

Day/night Tests never did anything for me, much prefer day Tests. Might have to pay a few visits to the Queens Head during rainbreaks.
