I'm really late to the party on this, but thanks to the fine people at the SBS catch-up service I've been able to watch 'Broadchurch.' Really impressed with the first two seasons, just started the last. A cut above the bazillion-or-so English regional whodunit dramas out there.

I've started watching 'The Imagineering Story" on Disney Plus from what i've seen is amazing and any Disney fan who loves the parks i can't recommend enough to watch it...

"On Becoming a God in Central Florida" starring Kirsten Dunst on SBS (available on their catch-up service) is definitely worth a look.

Today show beaten by ABC News Breakfast as ratings drop to record low after Karl Stefanovic’s return
The Today show’s ratings nightmare continues for Channel 9 after figures dropped to a record low this week following Karl Stefanovic’s much-hyped return.

The Today show’s ratings nightmare continues for Channel 9 after figures dropped to a record low this week following Karl Stefanovic’s much-hyped return.

The breakfast TV show had a measly 173,000 viewers across the 5-metro market on Tuesday, trailing ABC News Breakfast which had 178,000 viewers.

Channel 7’s Sunrise remained number one with an impressive 272,000 people tuning in.

In Sydney, Today attracted 52,000 viewers while rival Sunrise had 69,000. The overall figures are the Today show’s lowest this year.

Channel 7’s The Morning Show also saw a record margin yesterday with 242,000 viewers, while Today Extra had 120,000 and Studio 10 had 63,000.

The latest figures are a huge blow for Channel 9, which anticipated that Stefanovic’s return would be a ratings boost for the embattled breakfast show.

Stefanovic made his highly-anticipated return alongside co-host Allison Langdon on January 4, with the first show attracting an audience of 231,000 compared to 312,000 on Seven’s Sunrise.

The Today show has been under 200,000 (across the five city metro) 12 times out of 35 episodes this year.

Last year, Georgie Gardner and co-host Deborah Knight became the first female duo to front a breakfast TV show and they suffered consistently low ratings. Figures plunged to a historic low at 143,000 viewers - just 30,000 less than Tuesday’s episode with Stefanovic and Langdon.

Today’s best national audience with Stefanovic in the chair was 475,000, which it hit in 2016, with 315,000 of those residing in the key five-city metropolitan viewers bracket.

This year, Perth reporter Tracey Vo joined the panel as news presenter, while Tim Davies was promoted to weather presenter. Brooke Boney remains the entertainment reporter.

Last month Sunrise boss Michael Pell said constant line-up changes could be a factor in the Today show’s declining ratings.

“I’m quite surprised at how all of that’s gone down with that show. Not to talk too much about them, but I’ve never seen that many people sacked that quickly for no apparent reason,” Pell told news.com.au.

“I think the audience is punishing them for that still. The audience doesn’t like a company that treats people badly.”

Confidential has contacted Channel 9 for comment.

Yeah, I saw most of it. Missed the beginning. Quite enjoyed it but still find Alan to be a bit of strange cat.

Started watching DEVS on Fox last night. First 2 episodes were pretty good and am looking forward to more.

Thought that about The Outsider too after a gripping first 2 episodes but tuned out halfway through episode 5.

Has anyone watched or going to watch the cricket doco The Test?
It came out last Thursday so I signed up to the Amazon Prime free month trial and finished it on Tuesday. It is a must watch for an Australian cricket nuffie like myself and have great insight to how it all works for the Aussie boys.
A few things I took out of it-
Tim Paine came across really well for me again, he's down to earth and knows exactly where he's at as a cricketer and how people feel about him. I feel as though people would gain respect for him and cut him some slack if they watched it.

I'd say the same about Aaron Finch, he knows exactly where he's at and he's been a very respectable player and captain. I enjoyed listening to him.

Justin Langer is so passionate and his role as coach is obviously so important to him. I don't like his bias to his WA boys (a fact he doesn't really shy away from) but he is so good to listen too. He swears quite a but which is confronting when you listen to someone so much and never hear them swear. Ricky Ponting was the same and that goes for most sportsmen.

Usman Khawaja came across as quite arrogant as he really doesn't like being told what to do but his relationship with Langer seems like a decent and honest one as Khawaja is not afraid to speak his mind.

Mitch Marsh is much miligned but he is a very funny man and is good value and comes across as a real good bloke despite the criticism he constantly faces. After his press conference during the oval test match and then this doco I've cut him some slack.

Anyone watching Stateless on ABC? Based on the Baxter Detention Centre and Cornelia Rau. For those who live on LeFevre Peninsula will recognise a few places, namely the Monkey House, North Haven boat marina and parts of Wills St.
