Agreed. Really good trading, except I can't understand why we traded back to pick 20 to pick up a guy not rated to go in the top 35 - unless Richmond were going to pick him up (which I can't see why they would've).

Can't understand what's wrong with Robertson though. AA captain and can't go in the first round. He must be devo.

Also won the Larke medal for best player of the champs. His profile suggests he burns the ball though.

Bianco reads as being a quality ball user, think Port should have a look at him with next pick.

He is a quality user when in space, which is what you would expect of most players in the pool.

Bianco is quite a poor user when put under pressure, which describes most of Port's general ball movement.

I'd like to see us select a tall, tomorrow, and Josh Worrell is still on the table.

Haven't seen him play was just reading up profiles but I take your word for it, we do need good ball users though. Worrell was predicted to go to Port so that will probably eventuate next pick.

Most people want AFL clubs to have zones, now they have in a round about sort of way and we dont like it?

Not at all. Most people just want the player to go for a fair pick. If a player is worth a top 10 pick then why should clubs get them for a pick in the 60’s?
Green will be the best player out of this draft and GWS got him for a packet of chips

Cause he is in their zone, swings and round abouts, all clubs will get someone like this. We got Thomas last year

But Green is in the zone, so how is that an issue??? You can't expect clubs to put in all the work developing these kids and than wanna hand them off for nothing

Its a shit system, they want to follow USA draft systems and then compromise it by having all these variables. Why not make father/son 1 game. Either have zones/academies or just get kids drafted in order from their TAC/SANFL etc club. What purpose does an academy really serve? Elite talent will get selected anyway

Clubs owe other clubs no favours.
The Swans were going to bid for him which is why GWS did a convoluted trade to move ahead of them

So why would Port allow Brisbane to take the player they want?
