60. Gold Coast – Jy Farrar (Scotch)

First player from the Adelaide Ammo ranks? (I know he played 2 SANFL games for Adelaide).

Very happy with the swans effort at the draft this year. Some good talent. Very happy we got Gould too

The Lions.
Essendon bid on one of their players and they weren’t ready for it. The clock was stopped with 1 second remaining and they were given additional time to complete a trade to get points.
It drained all of their points which then allowed other clubs to pick up their academy kids [emoji3]

According to this mornings paper, the Swans told him that he had to lose weight and reduce his skin folds by a third. This stopped him going on the end of season trip. I was astonished that he weighed in at 106kg.

So Gold Coast have announced they will not select Jack Martin this morning (they have the first pick) which means Carlton at 3 will get him.

Only 14 new faces in the rookie draft, it used to be a place where a good number of kids would get a crack at the big time.

I must be missing something.

I thought if you had previously been on an AFL list then you could be signed outside the draft as North did this morning for Walker.

Why use your draft picks if you intend to take them anyway?

Pay less for a rookie and it doesn’t take up one of the main list spots
July 11th 2012....
