I heard Myles Warmington may head back there too.

Warmington and Brian Fenton to Willunga is what I’ve heard.

They’ve got to be kidding hey!

Finally picked up Mott from Noarlunga after unsuccessfully throwing the kitchen sink at him last year. Won last 2 SFL mail medals, won the goal kicking in 2018, second in 2019, been a crows rookie I believe, been at south, association, zone, state.... it’s been said on here he’s the best player outside sanfl....

Riddle me this.... why would a favourite son leave his beloved home club to play in the GSFL (on compass oval of all places). I have no doubt the Shoes would have done everything in their $$ power to retain him.

Some clubs continue to laugh at player payments. It is obvious it is just too easy to circumvent. Takes bad blood for them to get caught.

Not all players leave for more money. Could be a multitude of reasons to head there. (Playing with mates, Needing a change of scenery or a new challenge, fallout with coaches or officials, Work in the area)
Having said that, I’m quite sure he isn’t playing for a pie and a coke, and the Compass recruiting guys have certainly done a good job over the last few years bringing in good players. Maybe the other players all agreed to take a pay cut to get Mott?? Who knows. I’m amazed they have enough Points to get him given I thought the points allocation was supposedly averaged over a few years by ladder position? Unless that’s changed, they’ve been top 2 for the last 4yrs haven’t they so I’m not sure how they can get it done? Kudos either way. Willunga getting some good players to top up their already very good list too.

Yes Tiger, players move for all sorts of reasons for sure.
But the key point is the $ limit is $1000 for a marquee player. [emoji6]

I thought it was $1500 so maybe that’s changed since I last heard.

All speculation what he is getting of course. 18 grand for the year ain’t bad though if you can get it!

500 max or 1000 for 1 marquee.

As for points in the GF creek played 11/11, Willunga 6/11. Prelim Compass were 9/9- 3 x3 pointers.

Unless things have changed, points are based on the average number of wins for the last 3 years. So should be (2019 in brackets):

LC 9 (11)
WI 9 (11)
MC 9 (9)
VH 11 (13)
McL 13 (15)
ST 13 (13)
EB 13 (11)
MY 15 (15)
YA 15 (13)
GO 17 (15)

So if Compass manage to keep last years 3 recruits (who says they will?), who all drop 1 point = 3 players X 2 = 6 points. Frees up 1 new 3 pointer. Good recruiting. Nick Mott isn't the only one leaving Noarlunga, so maybe there's more factor there than there is for $$ being offered. Maybe Pinyon has been pursued by the Crows to have another crack at the development squad, he's still young enough. Got to replace a 100 goal kicker somehow.

Heard this to be so.

Well with 2 new 3 pointers maybe they haven’t kept them.

Imagine if the side that has finished 2,1,1,3,3 over the last 5 years asked for extra points.....

Be interesting to see how many games Allen plays now that he’s the new midfield coach at Norwood.

Certainly not a fan of the direction The Yankalilla Football is heading.
Obviously no homework done regarding coaching appointments.
Any chance they could have a 5 yr plan.

And if Harvey shows up for a few games, good luck, but that’s probably the final nail in the club.

The club needs to build a culture.
Maybe it needs to look just up the hill

Any signings coming out of Victor?

Outs confirmed
Smedley, Bartlett and Ross

Have also heard that Eljay Connors, Ben Williams and Sam Basham are all on the move also.

Big losses for the Roos if these are all true after climbing up the ladder in 2019 and looking like being serious contenders throughout the season.

Have heard this too but it hasn’t become official by willunga yet, not sure why?
Two very handy pickups. Didn’t realise Fenton played juniors at Willunga = 0 pointer even better!
Ex Myponga coach Wayne Deacon also joined Willunga’s coaching panel. Very loyal Myponga clubman
not sure what happened there?
